This resource celebrates King Charles 111 and his Coronation in May 2023. There are 2 design templates for each of a coat or arms, a stamp, a crown and a ring. Children can use the templates to help them in their designs or to add on their finished ideas. Page 1 asks the children to designs a coat of arms and a stamp. Page 2 asks them to design and crown and a ring.

A simple 6 word Word Search activity where children look for 6 key words connected to the King’s Coronation. An answer sheet is included. The 6 words to find are: King, sceptre, jewels, Coronation, throne and Charles. Suitable for KS1.

Let’s celebrate the King’s Coronation by filling the bus with the guests and Royals that will be attending this special event. There is a sample bus filled, that children can use and colour in. There is an empty bus for children to draw their own guests in, or to cut and paste pictures into. Page 3 shows a selection of pictures/symbols of people that might be attending the ceremony. Children could choose from this selection. All aboard! Extend by asking children to share their finished buses with their peers. Children could find out where the emblems are linked to and count how many of each one there are.
